St. Mary’s Medical Center Nurses to Hold PPE Donation Drive and Demand Protections When Treating Patients with COVID-19

To demand the same COVID-19 staff levels as other Bay Area hospitals and to protest the lack of personal protective equipment (PPE) for frontline health care workers during this COVID-19 pandemic, registered nurses at St. Mary’s Medical Center will hold an action, PPE donation drive, and media availability at 12 p.m., April 22, to describe current conditions and the need for safer staffing and more PPE, announced California Nurses Association/ National Nurses United, the nation’s largest and fastest-growing nurses’ union representing 150,000 registered nurses across the country.
